Functional Neurology

Functional Neurology is the application of the clinical science of the interactions of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and associated chemistry with the art of the wide range of receptor-based therapies to influence the human brain's remarkable ability to learn and change (neuro-plasticity).

Neuro-Plasticity is the brain's ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections throughout  life. Neuro-Plasticity allows the neurons (nerves cells) in the brain to compensate for injury and disease and to adjust their activities in response to new situations or to changes in their environment

Why Chiropractic and Neurology?

Chiropractic Therapies are a form of applied Neurology. We use the nerve receptors of the joints, tendons and muscles to "reset" the tone of the muscles that support and move the body by way of the brain

Chiropractic Neurologist interpret the science of neurology in a functional way... differently than a traditional MD neurologist might. Within that interpretation there is a wide range of individualized approaches to therapy.
